The Testing Lead will be a key member of the Avalon Core Implementation Team, focused primarily on client delivery, and in close contact with Avalon IT and business stakeholders.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><em>This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon&#39;s corporate office located in Tampa, Florida.</em></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Testing Lead &ndash; Essential Functions and Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Extensive knowledge of health plan operations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong technical background, with ability to generate test cases supporting Avalon&rsquo;s applications, query databases with T-SQL, and invoke APIs with a test harness such as Postman.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong project management skills: communications, organization, familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery processes and tools.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Persistence, assertiveness, and a drive for continuous improvement.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience supporting a variety of testing approaches, with the ability to independently generate appropriate test scenarios.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Query databases to analyze logs and generate test cases, with intermediate-level T-SQL query skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Guide the client through testing strategy and test case development.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Coordinate client and Avalon environment availability &ndash; security, data, connectivity, environment readiness and application provisioning.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Create/maintain all testing artifacts, including test plans, requirement traceability, and defect management.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Enhance implementation materials to support continuous improvement.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Testing Lead &ndash; Minimum Qualifications:</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum of five years of IT experience in some combination of testing, development and project management roles.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">3+ years of relevant work experience</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business or similar field or equivalent work experience</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">At least 3 years of experience developing and managing business requirements throughout a project lifecycle.</li><li>Experience in or knowledge of the health care business and customer service.</li><li>Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.</li><li>Experience with use case testing.</li><li>1 - 2 years&rsquo; experience in reporting, with a preference for intermediate knowledge of SQL&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of one or more of the following areas of health plan operations - configuration, utilization, claims processing, and/or reimbursement.</li><li>Proven analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.</li><li>Facilitation skills that include workgroup leadership, problem resolution across multiple groups, etc.</li><li>Willingness to work in various capacities and to learn new skill sets.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Testing Lead &ndash; Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Healthcare industry experience &ndash; claims, remittance advice, eligibility and prior authorization knowledge is highly valued.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Insight into HIPAA transaction processing on common adjudication platforms is preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience monitoring endpoints in a cloud-based environment with tools such as AppDynamics.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Comfortable in a high-visibility, individual contributor role with the ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels of the organization.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated ability to lead a team through problem solving and creative solutioning.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated ability to deliver results while balancing competing priorities and timelines.</li></ul></div>\n",
