Description The University of Maine School of Law is accepting applications for a Director of Career Development . This person helps students and graduates to make informed decisions about career paths and develop individual strategies to obtain career goals. The Director of Career Development is responsible for the administration, planning, and development of careers services for law students and alumni/ae. This position is based at The Maine Center, 300 Fore Street, Portland, ME. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some evenings and weekends required. This position reports to the Dean of Student Services and is an integral part of a dynamic team. Salary: The salary range is $90,000-$95,000. Qualifications Required: J.D. degree or a master’s degree in counseling, student personnel, higher education administration or a related discipline and strong interpersonal, counseling skills and communication skills (writing and public speaking). License/Certifications: Must have passed a state bar exam; current license not required but preferred. Preferred: Familiarity with local and regional legal markets, experience in a legal career services or recruitment position or law practice experience.
