    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We are looking for Lead Planners to work with the team of HGV Tanker Drivers who work across the Region. You will be responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out efficiently in line the Thames Contract. The work incorporates tankering various non-hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the regions. Your work will involve being the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders as well as maintain compliance within the tanker team.</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At the Lanes Group, nothing is more important than the health, safety and welfare of their people   and their customers. It’s a major reason they are the UK’s largest independent specialist drainage   contractor, with a turnover of more than £210 million, over 2100 people and a country wide network of branches.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours: 4 days on 4 days off - 7pm - 7am</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary:</span>  <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">£40,000 per annum</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location: Iver</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Holidays: 23 days including bank holidays</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities - but not limited to:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and send the night plan by 12:00 PM and the next day’s plan by 6:00 PM daily.</li>\n<li>Manage and allocate resources to ensure all scheduled and reactive jobs are covered.</li>\n<li>Review and assign jobs from clients promptly, ensuring seamless service delivery, relay information to teams.<br></li>\n<li>Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely dispatch and support with any planning or route queries</li>\n<li>Monitor inhouse Samsara telematics systems to confirm all drivers have departed on time and meet performance KPIs</li>\n<li>Act as the central point of communication between clients, engineers, supervisors, and internal teams to update on scheduling and assist in resolving site issues.<br></li>\n<li>Lead morning handovers, ensuring day-shift planners are briefed and all jobs are covered</li>\n<li>Ensure vehicles are scheduled for routine maintenance and PMI without impacting operational performance</li>\n<li>Be the primary escalation point for urgent pollution-related jobs, ensuring rapid tanker coordination and response</li>\n<li>Conduct a daily commercial review of all completed jobs to ensure accuracy and alignment with service expectations<br></li>\n<li>Support and guide planning team members, acting as a senior figure within the planning function</li>\n<li>Utilise Big Change / ortec system daily for new job requests as well as montoring email inbox for enquiries and report issues to managers.</li>\n<li>Utilize excel to report on locations and availability. <br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities and expectations:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in a planning or logistics role</li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft 365</li>\n<li>Interpersonal, relationship-building and networking skills</li>\n<li>Ability to multitask and prioritize</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What we offer:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>24 Days holiday plus Bank Holidays</li>\n<li>Company pension</li>\n<li>Training and progression opportunities <br></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p>This position is open to Internal and External candidates.  Any internal candidates currently employed within a division of the Lanes Group must complete an Internal Application form and submit to recruitment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Lanes Group nothing is more important than the health, safety and well-being of our people and our customers.
