Other duties may be required and assigned.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>? Educates individuals, students, or teams on the rules, strategies, and techniques for a sport or sports.</p><p>? Plans, organizes, and leads practice sessions and competitive events.</p><p>? Trains, encourages, and motivates athletes to prepare them for games and competitive events.</p><p>? Teaches safety rules and regulations and ensures they are enforced.</p><p>? Develops physical conditioning programs that equip athletes to meet their potential.</p><p>? Evaluates team members to determine fitness levels and potential; assigns positions or roles to athletes based on strengths and weaknesses.</p><p>? Ensures athletes are using equipment properly and safely.</p><p>? Identifies the strengths and weaknesses of players and modifies coaching strategies accordingly.</p><p>? Remains current on changes in rules, coaching philosophies and techniques, and technology relevant to a particular sport or sports.</p><p>? Develops and implements strategies and systems that teach fundamentals and advanced skills appropriate for high school athletes.&nbsp;</p><p>? Fosters a positive, disciplined, and inclusive team culture that emphasizes respect, effort, and accountability.&nbsp;</p><p>? Serves as a role model in leadership, integrity, and sportsmanship.&nbsp;</p><p>? Emphasizes and monitors academic achievement and personal responsibility for all team members.&nbsp;</p><p>? Knows and follows the rules of the Florida High School Athletic Association and guides the program within the mission, philosophy, and goals of Melbourne Central Catholic High School.</p><p>? Communicates appropriately and respectfully with parents, teachers, and school stakeholders, and escalates issues as necessary in collaboration with the Vice Principal of Athletics.&nbsp;</p><p>? Communicates in a timely manner with the Vice Principal of Athletics regarding student athlete eligibility and works collaboratively to ensure only eligible student athletes participate in team events.</p><p>? Maintains accurate rosters, statistics, and records of all team participants, contest records, and award winners.</p><p>? Creates practice and contest schedules and coordinates facilities and transportation needs appropriately and in a timely manner in collaboration with the Vice Principal of Athletics.</p><p>? Tracks team budget in collaboration with the Vice Principal of Athletics, and maintains team needs and expenses within that budget.</p><p>? Supervises the proper and respectful use and storage of team equipment, and collaborates with the Vice Principal of Athletics about any equipment needs and/or concerns</p><p>? Collaborates with the Vice Principal of Athletics and communications team to release important team-related news.&nbsp;</p><p>?
