Our Early Head Start program is experiencing exciting growth as we expand services to support more children and families in our community. As a result of this expansion, we are hiring 10 new teachers to staff additional classrooms and ensure we continue delivering high-quality, nurturing early learning experiences . As an EHS Teacher, you’ll work alongside a co-teacher to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom that supports each child’s growth and development. This role blends hands-on teaching with relationship-building—partnering with families, planning fun and purposeful activities, and helping children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Success In This Role Looks Like: Creating a warm, structured classroom where children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn Planning engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support each child’s growth Working closely with your teaching team and program staff to support every child’s success Building positive relationships with families through regular communication, home visits, and conferences Using observations and assessments to guide learning and identify opportunities for support Maintaining a well-organized classroom that meets program and licensing standards Career Path: EHS Teacher > EHS Teacher II > Senior Teacher > EHS Supervising Teacher > EHS Center Manager What You Bring To The Team: Passion for working with young children and supporting families Ability to build strong, professional relationships with children, families, and team members Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Comfort in a fast-paced, active environment (including lifting, bending, indoor/outdoor play) Willingness to travel locally a few times per year for home visits and training Basic computer skills and willingness to learn program systems Requirements for Consideration: Experience working with children. A minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) or comparable credential with a focus on infant and toddler development. Or a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development , Early Childhood Education, or related field. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Must pass and maintain all required background checks.
