Job Title: Head of School Campus: SVK Campus Report to: Campus Principal PBIS is totally committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects the same from its employees. All new staff will be subject to enhanced pre-employment clearance, including identity check, criminal background checks, qualifications checks and employment checks to include an exploration of any gaps in employment and two satisfactory professional references which will be verified. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: A. Strategic & Academic Leadership (Whole School) Provide clear strategic direction and vision across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary phases. Ensure high-quality teaching and learning through effective curriculum implementation, assessment, and reporting practices aligned with international standards. Lead school improvement planning, self-evaluation, and accreditation processes. Monitor student achievement data and implement targeted improvement strategies. Ensure continuity and progression across all phases of the school. B. Staff Leadership & Development Lead, manage, and inspire all teaching and academic support staff. Oversee recruitment, induction, performance management, and professional development. Conduct regular observations and provide high-quality feedback to improve teaching practice. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing professional culture. C. Student Welfare, Inclusion & School Culture Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment across all age phases. Oversee student wellbeing, safeguarding, and behaviour management systems. Ensure that all students can successfully integrate into the school community. Ensure appropriate support structures are in place so students can access the curriculum effectively, taking into account academic ability, age, and social development. D. Curriculum Access & Pathways Ensure that all students are placed appropriately and are able to access a suitable curriculum pathway. Oversee admissions and placement decisions in line with school policies. Ensure that academic placement decisions consider: Student readiness and prior learning Age and developmental stage Social and emotional implications Work closely with academic and support teams to ensure students are set up for long-term success. E. Operations, Administration & Compliance Ensure effective day-to-day management of the school. Maintain compliance with school policies, safeguarding requirements, and regulatory expectations. Lead on timetabling, staffing structures, and resource allocation. Contribute to budgeting and resource planning in collaboration with senior leadership F. Parent & Community Engagement Build strong relationships with parents and the wider school community. Communicate clearly and professionally regarding student progress, school initiatives, and expectations. Support student recruitment, retention, and school marketing initiatives. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Recognized teaching qualification. Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience, including significant leadership experience across multiple phases. Strong understanding of Early Years, Primary, and Secondary curricula. Proven track record of improving teaching and learning outcomes. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. High level of professionalism, integrity, and the ability to lead a whole-school community.
