    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>This Opportunity</strong></p><p>WSP is seeking an Environmental Planner to join our expanding Pacific Northwest Environmental Impact Assessment and Permitting service group. The position will be filled by a detail-oriented candidate, with strong writing skills and ability to manage multi-discipline work flows. The Environmental Planner<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> </span>will lead environmental assessment, permitting and compliance services in support clients in the power, oil and gas, manufacturing, and data center sectors. This role will work closely with project managers to ensure environmental deliverables are prepared according the quality, budget and schedule requirements.</p><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Leading and reviewing NEPA, SEPA, and/or CEQA environmental documents</li><li>Developing environmental compliance strategies and preparing documentation related to compliance with:<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>NEPA and SEPA</li><li>Energy Facility Siting in OR and WA (EFSC or EFSEC)</li><li>USFS Special Use Permits and forest management plans</li><li>BLM right-of-way agreements and resource management plans</li><li>Clean Water Act, Section 404/Section 401</li><li>Land Use Planning Requirements in OR, WA, ID</li></ul></li><li>Leading energy infrastructure routing and siting studies</li><li>Managing tasks or projects, including overseeing small project teams</li><li>Developing and managing scopes, schedules, budgets</li><li>Interfacing with clients, agencies, other consultants, and the public</li></ul><p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>This position requires a BS degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Landscape Architectural, or related degree</li><li>3-5 years of post-education work experience</li><li>Experienced in developing environmental documentation related to NEPA, SEPA, CEQA, EFSC, and/or EFSEC compliance</li><li>Experienced in completing environmental permit applications and supporting analyses</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li><li>Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>AICP certified, or ability to obtain certification is a plus</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>WSP Benefits: &nbsp;</p><p>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
