Sr. Reliability Test Engineer The Test Engineering team at Harbinger Motors is involved in the validation and reliability testing at the vehicle, sub-system, and component levels. The team is looking for someone who has 5+ years of experience with reliability metrics and calculations as well as hands-on reliability testing. This key team member will have ownership of developing reliability test profiles for various vehicle systems and hardware. Responsibilities: Work closely with the product design engineers to ensure that products can meet desired life targets Perform reliability calculations and develop detailed test-plans for accelerated lifecycle tests Lead the execution of reliability tests Lead root cause analysis of test failures and/or field failures Support cross-functional DFMEA sessions Travel to offsite test locations as needed ( Work with cross-functional teams to develop in-house test infrastructure required to test and validate various systems and components Train personnel on the required processes and operations of complex test systems Ensure that all tests are conducted in compliance with all safety protocols Document the results in a report and present it to stakeholders Participate in discussions with suppliers, supplier quality team, and design team to improve product reliability Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in either Engineering or Material Science with 5+ years of industry experience in the field of reliability Experience with performing reliability calculations and developing test profiles Experience with hands-on testing of either PCBAs, battery, or thermal systems Experience with coding languages and applications for data analysis, such as Python or Matlab Good technical writing skills for documenting test reports Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with EV powertrain architecture and associated HV devices, such as DCDC converters, on-board chargers, junction boxes, inverters, battery, thermal systems, etc. Experience with data analytics and visualization relevant to product reliability Experience with HV testing Key Benefits & Perks: Comprehensive Health, Dental & Vision (HDV) – 100% employee covered Early-stage Stock Options Robust Retirement Savings (401k, HSA, FSA) Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) & Parental Leave Annual Vacation Bonus Wellness & Fertility Benefits Cell Phone Stipend Complimentary Meals & Stocked Kitchens California Pay Range $120,000 — $140,000 USD Equal Opportunity Harbinger is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
