This position plans and assigns work, coaches/develops, motivates, counsels, and disciplines employees, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>1. Provides leadership &amp; ensures effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues.</p><p>2. Maintain effective work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing process control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.</p><p>3. Complete production plan by effectively scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising plans; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.</p><p>4. Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.</p><p>5. Enforce organization standards and assist in the revision or formation of new policies.</p><p>6. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on 5S, housekeeping, equipment preventative maintenance, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.</p><p>7. Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.</p><p>8. Manage Non-Conforming Material reports so material is dispositioned in a timely manner. 9. Performs accident investigations and lead corrective actions.</p><p>10. Report on inventory levels.</p><p>11. Manages department priorities.</p><p>12. Tracks absenteeism and timekeeping.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Supervision Scope:&#xa0; </strong></p><p>This position supervises all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance and efficiency of the employees within that department.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Educational Requirements:</strong>&#xa0;</p><ul><li><p>High School or GED Diploma required</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>2-year Associate’s Degree preferred with 5 + years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment</p></li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Leadership</p></li><li><p>Performance Management</p></li><li><p>Problem Solving/Analysis</p></li><li><p>Results Driven Personality</p></li><li><p>Communication Proficiency</p></li><li><p>Time Management</p></li><li><p>Technical Capacity</p></li><li><p>Orientation presentation</p></li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Specialized Working Conditions and % Travel:&#xa0; (i.e.: hearing, vision, extreme temperatures) </strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
