This role is essential in supporting students’ academic success and social development through evidence-based speech and language services.</p>\n<p>The SLP collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized programs that address a wide range of communication needs, including speech, language, and related areas.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Evaluation &amp; Assessment</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings</li>\n<li>Administer formal and informal diagnostic assessments</li>\n<li>Gather and review relevant information from records, staff, and families</li>\n<li>Analyze and interpret assessment data to determine student needs</li>\n<li>Develop comprehensive evaluation reports, including recommendations</li>\n<li>Make referrals for audiology and related services as appropriate</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">IEP Development &amp; Implementation</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using multidisciplinary data</li>\n<li>Establish appropriate goals, accommodations, and service delivery models</li>\n<li>Implement and monitor IEP services to ensure student progress</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Instruction &amp; Intervention</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan and deliver targeted speech and language interventions aligned with student needs and state standards</li>\n<li>Utilize a variety of evidence-based instructional strategies and techniques</li>\n<li>Adjust interventions based on ongoing student performance and data</li>\n<li>Maintain effective use of time, materials, and service delivery environments</li>\n<li>Foster positive and supportive relationships with students</li>\n<li>Apply current clinical and educational research to practice</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaboration &amp; Communication</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide consultation and guidance to parents, teachers, and staff</li>\n<li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes</li>\n<li>Coordinate services with other school-based and related service providers</li>\n<li>Communicate with outside agencies as needed to enhance student services</li>\n<li>Share information regarding speech and language programs and supports</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred</li>\n<li>Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred</li>\n<li>Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license with Special Services endorsement (or ability to obtain)</li>\n<li>Experience working with students in an educational setting preferred</li>\n<li>Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Skills &amp; Attributes</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience developing and implementing IEPs</li>\n<li>Strong background in assessment and progress monitoring practices</li>\n<li>Knowledge of MTSS frameworks and school-based service delivery</li>\n<li>Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and staff</li>\n<li>Flexible, student-centered, and solution-oriented approach</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join The Vanguard School</span></span></p>\n<p>At The Vanguard School, we are committed to developing both the academic potential and character of every student.
