Trainees will be able to calibrate pipettes, as well as scales/balances, centrifuges, or various temperature devices.  Training will be provided, and technicians are expected to learn the skills and processes necessary to perform calibration work within the lab environment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Will work with management and other technicians within the lab to learn pipette calibration fundamentals, working to produce calibrations using the systems and SOPs we have in place</li>\n <li>Learn fundamental calibration techniques and processes</li>\n <li>Develop skills necessary to perform calibrations independently</li>\n <li>Develop skills necessary to produce calibrations at a specified rate </li>\n <li>Maintain calibration standards</li>\n <li>Must be able to perform these functions within a laboratory setting and/or supervised customer on-site</li>\n <li>Will be required to perform on site calibration, certification, and maintenance services on specific lab equipment at client/customer locations including interfacing with customers in person, via email or phone</li>\n <li>Equipment includes pipettes, bottle top dispensers, scales, balances, centrifuges, and temperature calibrations</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to learn new skills regarding calibration and calibration processes</li>\n <li>Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not required</li>\n <li>Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics</li>\n <li>Familiarity with basic tools</li>\n <li>Proficiency with office computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook</li>\n <li>Basic organizational and time management skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination</strong></p>\n<p>Transcat is an equal-opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination based on any protected status.
