font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">JOB SUMMARY</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Under general supervision of the Aquatics Manager, the Aqua Wellness Instructor is responsible for providing water-based fitness and wellness instruction, monitoring participants, educating patrons on fitness and safety and maintaining a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for class participants.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrates and explains proper exercise techniques, warm-ups, stretches, and cool downs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Explains different muscle groups and teaches appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles, including offering modifications for different ability levels</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Prepares appropriate equipment and music for each class, including bringing equipment to deck and assisting the Pool Manager with moving lane lines</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Promotes a commitment to healthier lifestyles and creates an inclusive environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Performs the job safely and in compliance with District policies, procedures, work and safety rules, and the employee handbook</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Prior experience teaching Aqua Wellness classes</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Organized, creative, flexible, and an effective communicator</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and build rapport with participants</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Working knowledge of pertinent safety precautions and current trends in the field such as exercise, stress management, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to create and deliver group exercise programs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with participants and staff</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">CPR certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
