    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(209, 72, 65);\">JRAD is seeking candidates for an upcoming Aerospace Engineer (Journeyman) position supporting the U.S. Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC), Detachment 6 (DET 6) &ndash; Fighter Test Services (FTS). This position is located at Nellis AFB, NV. </span></strong></p><p>The Aerospace Engineer (Journeyman) provides engineering support in the application of aeronautical and aerospace engineering principles to operational test and evaluation (OT&amp;E) of fighter aircraft systems under the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) Detachment 6 Fighter Test Services contract.</p><p>Supports evaluation of aircraft performance, system integration, and mission effectiveness in operational environments. Performs engineering analyses of air vehicle systems and subsystems, contributing to test planning, execution, and post-test analysis across live flight testing, distributed test environments, and the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE).</p><p>Works independently on assigned tasks and contributes to multidisciplinary teams to ensure engineering rigor and mission relevance in support of AFOTEC evaluation objectives.</p><p><strong>Roles/Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Apply aerospace engineering principles to support analysis of aircraft performance, system integration, and mission effectiveness&nbsp;</li><li>Analyze flight test data, telemetry, and system outputs to assess aircraft performance and identify trends or anomalies&nbsp;</li><li>Support development and execution of operational test plans, including test objectives, scenarios, and evaluation criteria&nbsp;</li><li>Evaluate performance of aircraft subsystems, including avionics, propulsion, weapons systems, sensors, and communications systems&nbsp;</li><li>Support modeling and simulation (M&amp;S) activities, including data preparation, model execution, and correlation with test results&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct engineering analyses and trade studies to support system evaluation and decision-making&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in identifying technical risks, performance issues, and system limitations, and support development of mitigation strategies&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including operations research analysts, test engineers, intelligence analysts, and program management personnel&nbsp;</li><li>Support mission planning and execution for test events, including pre-mission preparation and post-mission analysis&nbsp;</li><li>Develop technical documentation, including engineering assessments, test reports, and data summaries&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure accuracy, completeness, and traceability of engineering data and analysis products&nbsp;</li><li>Comply with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and security protocols</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills and Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline</li><li><strong>3 or more years</strong> of relevant professional experience in aerospace engineering, flight test, aircraft systems analysis, or related technical fields</li><li>Experience supporting operational test and evaluation (OT&amp;E) activities within AFOTEC or similar test organizations</li><li>Familiarity with fighter aircraft systems (e.g., F-35, F-16, F-15) and air combat operations&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) or other modeling and simulation environments&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with flight test processes, instrumentation, or data analysis</li><li>Familiarity with the following tools and technologies: engineering analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent); data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB); modeling and simulation environments and tools; data visualization and reporting tools</li><li>Experience applying aerospace engineering principles to aircraft systems or performance analysis&nbsp;</li><li>Experience supporting engineering analysis, test and evaluation (T&amp;E), or systems engineering activities&nbsp;</li><li>Experience analyzing technical data and supporting evaluation of system performance&nbsp;</li><li>Experience working in multidisciplinary technical teams&nbsp;</li><li>Experience supporting development of technical documentation and reports</li></ul><p><strong>Security Clearance:</strong></p><ul><li>Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret/SCI preferred</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>When you work for JRAD you will never be just a number.
