Description

Description Honeywell UOP Engineering is looking for an Advanced CAD Specialist to work within the Engineering projects team. As an Advanced CAD Specialist, you will work with a group of experienced CAD designers in the Rosemont, Illinois office along with other global engineering offices in support and development of engineering drawings for worldwide customers. The position focuses on detailed complex assignments, infrastructure facilitation/collaboration with the drafting/engineering community, customer interaction and mentoring. You will report to our Mechanical Design Engineering Manager and work out of our Rosemont, IL location on a hybrid basis. Note, for the first 90 days new hires must be full-time in office M-F. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Complete complex assignments. Understands and provides input to customer deviations in a positive manner Mentor new drafting CAD specialists in day-to-day activities. Technical communication with internal team members and external customers. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation Provides guidance and shares knowledge with and drafting team members Supports complex technologies and/or multiple technologies. Involved in multiple projects and plans accordingly Suggests technical options to address customer requests Has a good relationship with customer (internal/external) Recognizes opportunities to make Mechanical drafting improvements Shares best practices gained from past projects Identify opportunities to improve work process and procedures Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE 3+ years of experience in Mechanical drafting Expertise with regards to Mechanical drafting details for multiple technologies Proficient in MicroStation WE VALUE Understands internal/external customer needs and demonstrates good judgement while keeping UOP interest in line Communicates effectively with customers.  Good oral / written skills.  Input on new tool creation to steam line production Ability to perform checks and give feedback on the work of others Ability to work under minimal supervision Ability to perform many assignments independently with instructions as to the general results expected.  Has supported a new technology development US PERSON REQUIREMENT Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements The salary range for this position is $75,500 - $94,000.
