The role is critical in delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes across the portfolio.</span></p><p></p><p><span>This position requires strong financial and accounting knowledge, business acumen, and analytical capabilities, along with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The FP&amp;A Senior Analyst also contributes to risk identification and supports the development of mitigation strategies.</span></p><p></p><p><span><b>Key Responsibilities</b></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Maintain and continuously update financial models for assigned businesses, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business strategy.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support the development of short- and long-term budgets, forecasts, and business plans across AES in Panama’s operations.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Monitor financial performance and budget execution, identifying variances and key performance drivers.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Analyze actual vs. forecast vs. budget results, providing clear, insightful explanations and recommendations to management.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Perform scenario analysis, sensitivities, and simulations to evaluate business performance under different conditions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Prepare projected financial statements (income statement, cash flow, balance sheet) and upload information into corporate systems (e.g., SAP BPC).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial projections and operational strategies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports and presentations for senior leadership.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contribute to the identification of financial risks and support the development of mitigation plans.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assist in ad hoc analyses, strategic initiatives, and business case evaluations as required.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><b>Qualifications &amp; Requirements</b></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Minimum 5&#43; years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in FP&amp;A or corporate finance roles.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with financial planning systems (e.g., SAP BPC) is a plus.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or similar).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent communication and ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Nosotros somos la energía que mejora la vida de más de 10 millones de personas, a través de los muchos beneficios que provee la electricidad.&nbsp;</b></p>",
