    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Cordoba is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager (SCM) to lead El Camino College projects. Serving as a key representative for our team and a primary point of contact for our client. This role requires a confident, client‑facing professional with exceptional communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic project environment. Experience in educational facility construction, public works, DSA, and/or large commercial projects is required. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages, oversees, and coordinates all facets of the pre-construction, bid and award, construction, and close-out phases of all assigned projects.</li>\n <li>Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities for various projects, ensuring alignment with district goals, timelines, and quality standards</li>\n <li>Serve as the primary liaison between the client, contractors, consultants, and internal teams</li>\n <li>Manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation with precision and accountability</li>\n <li>Lead coordination efforts across multiple disciplines, resolving issues proactively</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and DSA requirements</li>\n <li>Provide clear, consistent communication to stakeholders at all levels</li>\n <li>Monitor construction progress and implement corrective actions as needed</li>\n <li>Support procurement, contract administration, and change management processes</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>10–15 years of construction management experience in similar education facilities, particularly in DSA jurisdiction</li>\n <li>Proven experience in:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Athletic field construction</li>\n   <li>Modular building installations</li>\n   <li>Ground-up construction</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>DSA experience is required</li>\n <li>Strong client‑facing presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project controls</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Institutional/Higher Ed experience preferred but not required</li>\n <li>Experience working for an owner, CM firm, and/or general contractor on large construction projects of $20M+ is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Salary Range: $160,000 to $175,000 yearly</p>\n<p>Location: Torrance, CA</p>\n<p>Work Environment: Onsite</p>\n<h2>Our Company</h2>\n<p><strong>Cordoba Corporation, Making a Difference</strong></p>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering, construction management, program management, and planning firm.
