At AIM, you’ll: Share your real-world aircraft maintenance experience with future technicians Enjoy more predictable schedules compared to field work Make a lasting impact on students entering the aviation industry Continue growing your own knowledge while developing others About the Role As an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor (A&P Mechanic Instructor), you will deliver FAA Part 147-aligned aviation maintenance curriculum and provide hands-on instruction to students preparing for careers as aircraft maintenance technicians (AMTs). This role is ideal for experienced A&P mechanics, aircraft mechanics, and aviation maintenance professionals who want to combine technical expertise with mentorship and training while delivering hands-on aviation maintenance instruction in classroom and active hangar environments. Schedule Options: 4 or 5 days per week depending on campus needs and candidate preference. Option 1 (Day): Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Friday: Off Option 2: (Evening) : Monday–Thursday, 1:30 PM – 11:30 PM | Friday: Off Key Responsibilities Teach our FAA-aligned curriculum in a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and skill development Support program leadership in the development and revision of high quality, accurate course materials Record accurate attendance, grades, evaluations, and other required documentation Notify leadership of any emerging concerns affecting student performance or classroom operations Complete required training and participate in classroom observations and evaluations Complete other tasks and projects assigned by Supervisor Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Associate degree in a related field preferred Experience At least three (3) years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience Skillset Strong command of aircraft maintenance systems and procedures with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning Experience with and openness to learning Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours as needed Licensure FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate We are committed to fostering a workplace that values integrity, growth, and student success.
