Located at <strong>765 Warren Ave., Portland, ME &nbsp;04103.</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Shift: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.</strong></p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong> The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations with a focus on inventory accuracy, shipping, and receiving activities. This role ensures efficient labor management, safety compliance, and excellent customer service. The Supervisor leads and develops warehouse staff, enforces policies and procedures, and collaborates closely with management to meet operational goals and maintain a safe, productive work environment.</p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Supervise all warehouse staff and maintain regular communication with the Warehouse Manager.</li><li>Oversee and coordinate all inventory control, shipping, and receiving activities to ensure accurate order fulfillment, timely deliveries, and proper documentation.</li><li>Ensure accurate inventory counts, perform cycle counts as needed, investigate discrepancies, and maintain appropriate records to support inventory accuracy.</li><li>Monitor and manage receiving and shipping schedules; ensure proper unloading, loading, and handling of materials and products.</li><li>Perform or oversee clerk/inventory tasks related to receiving, shipping, and scheduling of inbound/outbound loads. Ensure all documentation is maintained per Keller and customer requirements.</li><li>Maintain accurate payroll records including timely approval of timecards and time off requests. Communicate any issues with HR and adhere to all attendance policy standards.</li><li>Coordinate new employee onboarding and training. Work with HR to complete new hire paperwork, assign safety training, and track retraining requirements.</li><li>Assist with initial and ongoing forklift training, including individualized retraining to ensure daily safe equipment operation.</li><li>Review and maintain all equipment inspection and maintenance records, reporting any issues immediately.</li><li>Lead daily shift Huddleboard meetings to communicate departmental goals, review performance, conduct safety discussions, and set expectations (including warm-up stretches, Safety Training, KPIs, etc.).</li><li>For food grade warehouses, lead a food safety culture. Audit and maintain food safety standards within a facility.</li><li>Lead and participate in accident investigations and corrective actions. Administer drug testing as required by training and company policy.</li><li>Ensure OSHA compliance, complete Behavior-Based Safety Observations, and enforce all safety requirements. Report any violations immediately.</li><li>Build and maintain positive customer relationships to support service excellence and long-term business growth.</li><li>Strategically plan and manage all warehouse functions&mdash;receiving, storage, shipping, order fulfillment&mdash;to maximize accuracy and minimize claims.</li><li>Supervise daily warehouse operations including labor scheduling and space utilization, ensuring activities are executed efficiently and within budget.</li><li>Analyze current and forecasted volumes to plan daily labor needs appropriately.</li><li>Create and maintain a well-trained, cross-functional staff. Conduct timely performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.</li><li>Maintain a facility safety and security plan in compliance with all company and client expectations.</li><li>Actively lead and support company-driven Continuous Improvement initiatives.</li><li>Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Effective Communication &ndash; clearly sharing information and expectations while actively listening to the team.</li><li>Coaching and Development &ndash; supporting employee growth through training, mentoring, and feedback.</li><li>Team Building: Fosters a positive and collaborative team environment to enhance productivity and morale.</li><li>Accountability &ndash; holding oneself and team members responsible for meeting goals and following policies.</li><li>Employee development and performance management skills</li><li>Ability to foster a cooperative environment, as well as supervise and train assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.</li><li>Exceptional communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Knowledge of inventory management practices</li><li>Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment</li><li>Ability to analyze processes and make recommendations for improvements.</li><li>Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long rage goals.</li><li>Ability to stoop, push, pull, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Additional Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>5 years Warehouse Leadership Experience preferred.</li><li>WMS and handheld scanner experience.</li><li>Occasional travel may be required for training, company events, or site visits.</li><li>Must obtain Industrial Truck Certification through in-house training.</li><li>Must be willing to work overtime weekends and holidays as requested by manager.</li><li>PPE as required by each facility &ndash; refer to handbook for specific requirements.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><em><em>Keller Logistics Group is an asset-based third party logistics (3PL) provider headquartered in Defiance, Ohio.
