The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical services to program participants within the Facility and providing Medical supervision and support to full-time and part-time providers delivering care in the various levels of care. The Medical Director will work in tandem with the Executive Director and Clinical Director to ensure/promote appropriate service provision, and will conduct medical exams, assess, and manage withdrawal symptoms, and provide histories and physicals. The Medical Director will consult with counselors, attend treatment teams, and contribute to development of treatment plans as part of an active multi-disciplinary team. In addition, the Medical Director will provide medical consultation services to medical and nursing and clinical staff in the Facility settings as indicated. Enjoy excellent colleagues, strong system practice support, and a physician friendly environment. What tasks are required? Providing administrative oversight of the facility’s medical services; Assisting in the development and maintenance of written objectives, policies, a procedure manual, an organization plan and a quality assurance program for medical services, and review of all medical policies and procedures at least annually. Such documentation shall be shared with the facility’s physician, the director of nursing services, and other appropriate medical staff on an ongoing basis or as revisions are made. In conjunction with the administrator and the governing authority of the substance use disorders treatment facility, planning and budgeting for medical services. Ensuring that medical services are coordinated and integrated with other client care services to ensure continuity of care for each client. Ensuring that the facility complies with required medical staffing patterns set forth in the SC state regulations. Assisting in the development of written job descriptions for the medical staff, reviewing of credentials, participating in hiring medical staff, delineating privileges of medical staff and assigning duties of the medical staff. Approving the content and location of emergency kits or carts; medications, including controlled substances; use of over-the-counter floor stock medications maintained on a list at the facility; and the amounts that may be and are stored throughout the facility, equipment and supplies, the expiration dates of medically related time-sensitive items, the frequency with which these items are reviewed for appropriateness and completeness and assigning qualified staff to perform these reviews. Reviewing any physical examination reports and medical screening results conducted off-site of a client for the preadmissions process or for other medical concerns, in order to ensure that the client’s medical needs are considered and addressed in the development of the treatment plan and throughout treatment. Providing supervision of the facility’s physician(s) and nurse practitioners. The medical director is required to be on-site as often as necessary in order to perform the responsibilities of the position. Positively promoting BriteLife Recovery to prospective clients and employees. Planning and supervising provision of treatment for patients (including regular review and notes in the patient’s record) according to established state guidelines with a strong emphasis on quality & customer service. Signs patient record notes Oversees patient care provided by physician extender, signs charts, dosing levels, etc., when applicable Places patients into treatment What we need from you? Must possess the ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable and professional manner on the phone, through telemedicine and in person; and the demonstrated use of good written and verbal skills. Must possess the ability to interact with peers, executives, patient families, and other vendors in a manner that represents positive outcomes. Must exhibit sound judgement in decision-making. Must possess the ability to maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance. Must possess the ability to be flexible and adaptable to change. The Medical Director will work in tandem with the Executive Director and Clinical Director to ensure/promote appropriate service provision, and will conduct medical exams, assess, and manage withdrawal symptoms, and provide histories and physicals. The Medical Director will consult with counselors, attend treatment teams, and contribute to development of treatment plans as part of an active multi-disciplinary team. In addition, the Medical Director will provide medical consultation services to medical and nursing and clinical staff in the Facility settings as indicated. tab-stops: list .5in;\">Assisting in the development and maintenance of written objectives, policies, a procedure manual, an organization plan and a quality assurance program for medical services, and review of all medical policies and procedures at least annually.&nbsp;&nbsp;Such documentation shall be shared with the facility&rsquo;s physician, the director of nursing services, and other appropriate medical staff on an ongoing basis or as revisions are made.</li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-list: l3 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in;\">In conjunction with the administrator and the governing authority of the substance use disorders treatment facility, planning and budgeting for medical services.</li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-list: l3 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in;\">Ensuring that medical services are coordinated and integrated with other client care services to ensure continuity of care for each client.</li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-list: l3 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in;\">Ensuring that the facility complies with required medical staffing patterns set forth in the SC state regulations.</li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-list: l3 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in;\">&nbsp;Assisting in the development of written job descriptions for the medical staff, reviewing of credentials, participating in hiring medical staff, delineating privileges of medical staff and assigning duties of the medical staff.</li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-list: l3 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in;\">Approving the content and location of emergency kits or carts; medications, including controlled substances; use of over-the-counter floor stock medications maintained on a list at the facility; and the amounts that may be and are stored throughout the facility, equipment and supplies, the expiration dates of medically related time-sensitive items, the frequency with which these items are reviewed for appropriateness and completeness and assigning qualified staff to perform these reviews.</li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-list: l3 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in;\">Reviewing any physical examination reports and medical screening results conducted off-site of a client for the preadmissions process or for other medical concerns, in order to ensure that the client&rsquo;s medical needs are considered and addressed in the development of the treatment plan and throughout treatment.</li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-list: l3 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in;\">Providing supervision of the facility&rsquo;s physician(s) and nurse practitioners.</li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-list: l3 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in;\">The medical director is required to be on-site as often as necessary in order to perform the responsibilities of the position.</li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-list: l3 level1 lfo1;
