Your duties involve using relay test equipment and tools to test different types of relays inside the ele<em>ct</em>rical substation.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform entry level testing relaying equipment.</li>\n <li>Implement safety policies.</li>\n <li>Read, understand One-line, three-line, AC/DC Drawings</li>\n <li>Develop relay macros and testing routines with confirmation of proper protection and control design EPS and customer specifications.</li>\n <li>Build test plans for Overcurrent, Transformer, Bus Diff, & Distance Relay</li>\n <li>Understand the Logic Gates and Boolean Algebra</li>\n <li>Identify Polarity, Phasing, & Vectors</li>\n <li>Examine Different Operating Schemes</li>\n <li>Assist End to End testing</li>\n <li>Support Functional testing and Troubleshooting. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills/Abilities: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen due to this being a safety sensitive position.</p></li>\n <li>Complete a satisfactory criminal background check. </li>\n <li>Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time. </li>\n <li>Must have a valid driver's license and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record. </li>\n <li>Hands on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays in transmission, generation or distribution level substations. </li>\n <li>Capable of troubleshooting distribution and transmission controls circuits. </li>\n <li>Knowledge of relay test software. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills/Abilities: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li>\n <li>Experience installing, maintaining, testing, or repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, or similar equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical/Electronic technology, or Military experience preferred </li>\n <li>NETA certified a plus </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, able to lift 70 lbs. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EPS is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration for employment to all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, disability, sex (including pregnancy, <em>ge</em>nder identity and sexual orientation), political affiliation, military service, national origin, a<em>ge</em> or any other chara<em>ct</em>eristics prote<em>ct</em>ed by state or federal laws. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EPS does not work with individual recruiters or third party recruiting a<em>ge</em>ncies, and will not recognize claim to any unsolicited resumes or candidate information.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#PoweringTheFuture</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p> </p>",
