Because at Intellectix, it's not what we do, it's why we do it.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Responsibilities &amp; Duties</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, architect, configure, deploy, upgrade, and support various storage and backup platforms and associated management tools.</li>\n<li>Diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and other related technologies.</li>\n<li>Adhere to engineering and architecture standards and participate in technical review meetings as required.</li>\n<li>Participate in the evaluation, deployment, management, and integration of new technologies in alignment with other engineers, architects, and technical service lanes.</li>\n<li>Incident support and participation in on-call rotation during off hours and weekends.</li>\n<li>Create and maintain documentation: logical/physical diagrams, run books, and other technical engineering documents.</li>\n<li>Consistently demonstrate initiative and commitment to optimizing systems and processes.</li>\n<li>Oversee the installation of new storage hardware and software according to standard operating procedures.</li>\n<li>Oversee the updates to hardware, operating systems, and software as needed to provide required functionality and security.</li>\n<li>Ensure systems are monitored, and statistics relevant to capacity, performance, utilization, etc. are collected and regularly reviewed.</li>\n<li>Keep abreast of current developments in storage and backup technology to assist Intellectix staff in assessing the future direction of storage and backup technology.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Qualifications</span>:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Required</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination.</li>\n<li>Hands-on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts.</li>\n<li>Experience with SAN, NAS, and iSCSI storage implementations.</li>\n<li>Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments.</li>\n<li>Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments.</li>\n<li>Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies.</li>\n<li>Senior-level experience with design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware platforms and data centers.</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of high availability concepts with practical experience and implementation of key components in a storage environment.</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts (I/O, paging, swapping, system calls), iSCSI, Fiber Channel, Ethernet.</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of essential TCP/IP concepts: TCP, UDP, ICMP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, DNS, NTP, etc.</li>\n<li>Understanding of security best practices, federal hardening requirements (FISMA, STIG, etc.).</li>\n<li>CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification.</li>\n<li>Proficient written and oral communication skills.</li>\n<li>Strong collaborative attitude and ability to work in a team environment.</li>\n<li>Ability to take direction.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Desired</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>NetApp Certification.</li>\n<li>PowerShell/Python scripting experience.</li>\n<li>Experience leveraging scripts to audit and enforce configuration standards.</li>\n<li>Amazon Web Services / C2S experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join Intellectix to be part of a dynamic team that thrives on tempo, teamwork, and technical excellence.
