This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer who enjoys guiding projects from concept through production and who thrives in a hands-on, cross-functional environment. This position is an onsite position, with some opportunity for a hybrid schedule.</p><p>You&rsquo;ll play a key role in supporting assembly, start-up, and commissioning efforts while contributing to the advancement of aviation testing technology.</p><p><strong><u>What You&rsquo;ll Work On</u></strong></p><p>Our <strong>FLAP</strong> group delivers test solutions for a wide array of aircraft components, including:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Fuel systems</strong>: pumps, boost pumps, hydromechanical units (HMU), fuel metering units (FMU), valves, nozzles, servos</li><li><strong>Lubrication systems</strong>: valves, heat exchangers, oil pumps, hydraulic clutches, coolers, tanks</li><li><strong>Actuation systems</strong>: electro-mechanical linear and rotary actuators, power drive units (PDU), cargo winches</li><li><strong>Pneumatic systems</strong>: valves, air turbine starters, heat exchangers, air cycle machines, environmental control systems</li></ul><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Interpret customer specifications and maintenance manuals to define equipment requirements</li><li>Create 3D CAD models and layout drawings using SolidWorks</li><li>Design mechanical components, including enclosures, fixtures, manifolds, and piping systems</li><li>Perform engineering calculations to ensure safety and functionality</li><li>Select and source components, collaborating with suppliers for customization</li><li>Optimize packaging of hydraulic and electrical modules</li><li>Generate detailed fabrication and assembly drawings with GD&amp;T</li><li>Manage BOMs and release documentation</li><li>Support assembly and troubleshooting during build phases</li><li>Lead customer design reviews and provide mechanical expertise</li><li>Collaborate with electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and software engineers</li><li>Assist in technical manual development</li><li>Plan and prioritize tasks to meet project goals</li><li>Participate in equipment startup and checkout at factory and customer sites</li><li>Travel up to 10% (domestic and international)</li></ul><p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field</li><li>8+ years of relevant experience in custom equipment or systems design</li><li>Experience in mid-sized companies (150&ndash;300 employees)</li><li>SolidWorks Professional certification (preferred)</li><li>Background in fixture, tooling, and automation design</li><li>Strong understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems and schematics</li><li>Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and PLC programming</li><li>Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. green card holder</li></ul><p><strong>Are you ready to engineer the future of aerospace testing?</strong><br>&nbsp;If you&#39;re a forward-thinking mechanical engineer looking for a dynamic and rewarding challenge, we encourage you to apply and become part of our mission to shape the future of aviation technology.</p><p>🔗 Learn more about us at <a href=\"http://www.testek.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.testek.com</a></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><em>EOE &ndash; Equal Opportunity Employer.
