    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Hologic’s Breast &amp; Skeletal Health </strong>division is hiring a&nbsp;<strong>Senior Electrical Engineer, NPD </strong>to help design and advance the electronics behind our industry‑leading imaging systems. In this role, you’ll work hands‑on with complex electrical designs that directly support life‑saving medical technology used in breast and skeletal health diagnostics. This is a hands‑on lab and hardware role that requires regular onsite presence in Newark, DE to work with test equipment, prototypes, and cross‑functional teams. If you’re a seasoned electrical engineer who enjoys complex hardware challenges and wants your work to directly impact patient care, we’d love to hear from you.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Design, develop, and troubleshoot printed circuit assemblies, power distribution, cables, and harnesses for medical imaging products.</span></li>\n <li><span>Own portions of the electrical design process from concept through design transfer, verification, and support of manufacturing and field service.</span></li>\n <li><span>Specify, select, and test electronic and electro</span><span>‑</span><span>mechanical components to meet product requirements and regulatory standards.</span></li>\n <li><span>Build and maintain prototypes, test fixtures, and test setups; define test methods and conditions to qualify designs.</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide technical support for manufacturing and service issues, driving root</span><span>‑</span><span>cause analysis and effective corrective actions.</span></li>\n <li><span>Create and maintain design documentation (schematics, requirements, specifications, verification reports, ECNs) in accordance with design control procedures.</span></li>\n <li><span>Collaborate closely with mechanical, systems, software, compliance, reliability, and manufacturing teams.</span></li>\n <li><span>Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement efforts (cost reduction, quality, EOL, CAPA, VIP).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.375in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><strong>Education:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>Experience:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Typically 5–8+ years of electrical/electronic design experience (fewer years acceptable with advanced degrees).</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience in an FDA</span><span>‑</span><span>regulated medical device or similarly regulated industry is a plus.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>Technical Skills (desired):</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Experience with analog/digital circuit design, PCB design, and PCBA manufacturing processes.</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency with schematic capture / PCB CAD tools (Mentor, CADSTAR, OrCAD, Altium, or similar).</span></li>\n <li><span>Hands</span><span>‑</span><span>on use of lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum/logic analyzers, function generators, etc.).</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge of SMPS, mixed</span><span>‑</span><span>signal design (ADC/DAC), EMI/ESD mitigation, SI/PI, and high</span><span>‑</span><span>speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, 10G Ethernet) is highly valued.</span></li>\n <li><span>Familiarity with IEC 60601-1 / 60601-1-2, ISO 14971, EMC standards, and full product lifecycle.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Strong problem</span><span>‑</span><span>solving and root</span><span>‑</span><span>cause analysis abilities.</span></li>\n <li><span>Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work across functions and lead portions of projects.</span></li>\n <li><span>Proven ownership mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects with limited guidance.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>So why join Hologic?</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We are committed to making Hologic the company where top talent comes to grow.
