Assist with the oversight and management of the work plan, ensuring objectives and scope of work are being met and develop and implement corrective action plans/ strategies as needed. Responsible for training of clinic staff on Title X Family Planning and FPACT workflows and health education protocols.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Essential Job Functions </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as Title X and FPACT Sexual and Reproductive Health Coordinator, including co-facilitation of monthly Sexual and Reproductive Health Quality Assurance meetings, and attending required Title X and FPACT meetings and audits.</li>\n <li>Plan, develop, and design health education and training programs related to sexual and reproductive health, including follow-up and observation of health educators.</li>\n <li>Responsible for the development and delivery of Medical Assistant (MA) new hire and refresher curriculum on sexual and reproductive health.</li>\n <li>Facilitate workshops and trainings to group and/or individuals, throughout VCC sites </li>\n <li>Complete daily/weekly and monthly reports to include training database, health educator observations, certificate renewals, and new hire and refresher trainings</li>\n <li>Provide comprehensive, high quality, evidence-based sexual health education and counseling in the areas of reproductive health, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS, male/female anatomy, sexual orientation, pregnancy prevention, birth control methods, healthy relationships, etc.</li>\n <li>Update employees on all sexual and reproductive health programs by providing information, direction and monitoring of procedural changes; ensure all staff has received adequate training</li>\n <li>Work with Clinic Managers to promote integration of sexual and reproductive health throughout all clinic sites </li>\n <li>Act as a liaison between the Health Educators/Medical Assistants and Clinical Managers/Operations </li>\n <li>Collaborate with clinic management, Health Promotion, Clinical Informatics, and Perinatal Health Workers (CPHW) to increase the number of patients utilizing VCC’s sexual and reproductive health services</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Clinical Informatics to review and implement clinical workflows related to sexual and reproductive health</li>\n <li>Assist billing department in correcting service code errors, and ensure proper patient program enrollment as it relates to sexual and reproductive health</li>\n <li>Coordinate and contribute to Reproductive Health-related grant proposal development efforts, as requested</li>\n <li>Assist with the completion of monthly and quarterly reports based on funding agency due dates </li>\n <li>Participate in the development of sexual reproductive health education goals and strategies, as appropriate </li>\n <li>Demonstrate compliance with policies, regulations and codes of conduct in all aspects of job responsibilities </li>\n <li>Travel to all clinic locations as needed to observe and instruct clinic staff on sexual and reproductive health, as needed </li>\n <li>Maintain knowledge of sexual and reproductive health programs, including Family PACT enrollment qualifications </li>\n <li>Perform research on relevant topics; and develop and/or revise curriculum modules and/or presentation materials as appropriate </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates’ degree and minimum two years’ experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health education topics or related fields</li>\n <li>CPR Certification (BLS - Child, Infant, Adult) AHA approved </li>\n <li>Availability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends</li>\n <li>Valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance; reliable transportation, to travel for meetings and/or to gather information for reporting purposes; minimum two years’ driving experience; no more than 2 violations or a single ticket/accident value at more than 1 point on driving record</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree </li>\n <li>Bilingual English/Spanish</li>\n <li>HIV Counselor Certification</li>\n <li>Family Planning Health Worker Certificate </li>\n <li>Basic understanding of government programs related to related services provided </li>\n <li>Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiar with general training concepts, demonstrated ability to teach and coach new skills</li>\n <li>Knowledge of community health centers, public assistance programs, state and federal regulations, and managed care systems </li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create a comfortable, supportive learning environment</li>\n <li>Ability to address staff training needs and resolve any issues in a professional manner </li>\n <li>Commitment to the educational success of staff</li>\n <li>Ability to articulate, project voice and be clearly understood when speaking in front of a group</li>\n <li>Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines </li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written skills necessary for communication with patients/clients, Clinicians and other staff </li>\n <li>Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a professional manner, including people of all social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and within the constraints of government funded programs </li>\n <li>Ability and willingness to meet the organization’s attendance and dress code policies </li>\n <li>Ability to handle confidential materials and information in a professional manner</li>\n <li>Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction</li>\n <li>Experience/familiarity with computers, business e-mail, communication systems and internet search capabilities</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Pay Rate:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>$22.00 - $26.00 depending on experience </li>\n</ul>",
