Have the ability or willingness to learn instrumentation (level, flow, temperature, pressure, and positioning).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>PIPE FITTING/RIGGING/FABRICATION</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Perform all phases of pipe fitting; including reading blueprints, cutting, threading, and fabricating lined pipe, and installing pipe in a complicated configuration based on drawings.</span></li>\n <li><span>Use safe rigging techniques for different pieces of equipment.</span></li>\n <li><span>Be able to take a basic print of a system and make modifications or fabricate new parts.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>WELDING</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Be able to demonstrate proficiency in several phases of welding, (e.g., shielded arc welding, tig welding, the ability to use a plasma cutter, and knowledge of Oxy-Acetylene cutting and welding.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>PUMPS</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Repair and replace positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, and air operated diaphragm pumps.</span></li>\n <li><span>Repairs may include replacement of seals, bearings, impellers, shaft, or volute.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to perform pump and motor alignment using standard practices or laser alignment equipment.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>BOILERS/COMPRESSORS</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Have a high-level understanding of how boilers and compressors work and the ability to start, stop, and troubleshoot common failures.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>MACHINES/TOOLS</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Demonstrate competency in the use and operations of shop equipment (e.g., drill press, hydraulic press, bandsaw, pipe fabrication equipment, and lifting equipment.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrate knowledge of all hand tools required of a journeyman mechanic and possess the same (specialty tools are provided by Curia).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>HVAC</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Good working knowledge of HVAC system.&nbsp; May require a fundamental demonstration of troubleshooting abilities in the areas of differential pressures and how this affects the&nbsp;efficiencies of a system.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>SAFETY</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Conduct all job assignments safely using the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), tools, and techniques.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Report any hazardous situations to a supervisor, and have the courage to stop unsafe work.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>TEAMWORK</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Ability to work as part of a team, providing guidance or assistance as necessary to ensure tasks are completed timely and professionally.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Act in a way that promotes good working relationships and demonstrates sound customer service (to other maintenance personnel and personnel in other departments (e.g., operations, engineering, and administration). &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Good Manufacturing Practices &amp; Good Documentation Practices (GMP &amp; GDP)</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Perform all GMP related documentation in compliance with ALCOA and good documentation practices as defined by site SOP’s.</span></li>\n <li><span>Strict compliance with all cGMP documents</span></li>\n <li><span>SOP’s, Batch records, protocols, change controls, controlled forms, etc.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Ensure all cGMP applicable training is kept current</span></li>\n <li><span>Do not perform any cGMP task for which have not received appropriate training</span></li>\n <li><span>Escalate any cGMP concerns to Supervisors and to Quality Department as needed</span></li>\n <li><span>Perform job functions in compliance with applicable US FDA regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>COMPETENCIES</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Excellent technical trades knowledge.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Good “people skills” and ability to work effectively in a team.</span></li>\n <li><span>Good understanding of applicable local and corporate regulations, standards, and industry practices.</span></li>\n <li><span>Good understanding of continuous improvement methodology and ability to apply continuous improvement to daily tasks/routines.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Good understanding of applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and industry practices.</span></li>\n <li><span>Good skills and understanding in the&nbsp;use of standard software applications required in the&nbsp;performance of work CMMS, e-mail, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.</span></li>\n <li><span>Good verbal and written communication skills.</span></li>\n <li><span>Self-starter capable of working independently and establishing priorities.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Physical requirements</b></span></p>\n<p><span><i>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
