Has proficiency in pipe welding, in accordance with ASME B31.3 and/or B31.8, and API 1104. Completes welding as assigned with a limited degree of supervision.</span></h1><h1><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</em></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Uses MIG, Flux Core welding processes</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Completes quality x-ray and U.T. welds with minimum rework</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Fits and welds pipe on pin wheel</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Interprets radiographic x-ray films</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">May layout and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies using rule, square, scribe, or templates</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Operates cutting equipment</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Works well with other departments on location of tie-in points for instrument and auxiliary pipe</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Must follow all safety procedures and guidelines</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">High pressure environment; must be able to meet tight deadlines</li></ul><h1><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE</span></h1><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Must pass 3G and 6G welding procedures test.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Five (5) to eight (8) years of welding experience.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Welding school or on the job training and/or certification to weld on pipe.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Knowledge of different types and sizes of pipe, structural and vessel materials.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Must have own welding hood, chipping hammer, and wire cutting pliers.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Basic math skills and reasoning skills</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Ability to multitask and exercise time management skills to achieve required deadlines.</li><li style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Ability to proactively identify challenges and offer solutions.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Physical Demands</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em>The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
