We are a people powered organization, our people come first and our culture matters.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary/Objective </span></p>\n<p>Under limited supervision, the mobile heavy equipment mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining small 5hp to large 600hp diesel and gas equipment.  The mobile mechanic primarily performs routine maintenance, visual inspections, troubleshoots, diagnosis malfunctions and repairs equipment on jobsites from service truck.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions:</span><br>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs inspections, fluid checks, lubrication and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment in assigned area.</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot, diagnosis and perform repairs on all equipment from 5hp to 600hp, ie hand equipment, pickup trucks, as well as heavy diesel trucks and equipment.</li>\n<li>Repairs and maintains equipment from a mobile service truck in the field on jobs sites as well as in shops</li>\n<li>Prepares and maintains records, reports and maintenance schedules for assigned region in Fleet Maintenance software</li>\n<li>Requests/orders parts following the purchasing policy</li>\n<li>Reports on problems and trends to Fleet Manager.</li>\n<li>Work extended hours if needed and approved by Fleet Manger.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow Safety practices and procedures.</li>\n<li>Ensure the work area is clean at the end of each day.</li>\n<li>Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations</li>\n<li>Use in an appropriate and safe manner hand, power, and specialized tools.</li>\n<li>Must always practice defensive driving on and off the job</li>\n<li>Foster and always communicate the Think Z culture with all employees</li>\n<li>Report all accidents and incidents to the Fleet Manager and Safety Manager immediately</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competencies</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Works independently</li>\n<li>Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.</li>\n<li>Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers' service specifications.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and maintain records and reports.</li>\n<li>Technical Capacity. Reading and interpreting technical service manuals and schematics.</li>\n<li>Problem Solving/Analysis.</li>\n<li>Diagnostic equipment.</li>\n<li>Operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.</li>\n<li>Methods, materials, tools and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance.</li>\n<li>Diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs.</li>\n<li>Electrical systems, including computerized induction/ignition systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel: </span><br>Extensive travel to various jobsites as required</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Education and Experience</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Have 3-5 years’ experience of troubleshooting and repairing</li>\n<li>Excellent mechanical aptitude</li>\n<li>Must be able to work on all makes and models of trucks</li>\n<li>Experience working on various equipment from a 5 HP to large diesel 600HP motors</li>\n<li>Experience with acetylene and electric arc welding</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Education and Experience</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ideal candidate must have 5 years’ experience in troubleshooting and repairing with experience in mobile repair settings</li>\n<li>Applicable State Inspection Certification</li>\n<li>Applicable ASE certifications</li>\n<li>Welding and fabrication</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Eligibility Qualifications</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Criminal background search.</li>\n<li>Clean driving history</li>\n<li>Pre-employment drug screen</li>\n<li>Valid Driver's License (REAL ID).</li>\n<li>Social Security Card.</li>\n<li>Able to obtain badging to all airports and military installations.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Duties:</span><br>Please note that this job description is an overview of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
