Management (E/M) services, preventive care, and procedural services while ensuring documentation specificity, revenue cycle integrity, and optimal reimbursement outcomes.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong coding knowledge, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with providers and interdisciplinary teams.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Minimum Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School diploma or equivalent required</li>\n<li>Associate degree preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Certifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CPC, COC, CCS-P, or equivalent certification required or obtained within one (1) year of hire</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of one (1) year of coding and/or billing experience required</li>\n<li>Two (2) or more years of coding experience in Rural Health Clinic (RHC), FQHC, primary care, or physician practice settings preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Skills &amp; Knowledge</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems</li>\n<li>Understanding of rural health billing and reimbursement regulations</li>\n<li>Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Ability to maintain productivity and coding accuracy standards</li>\n<li>Basic computer proficiency required; Athena EMR experience preferred</li>\n<li>Knowledge of current E/M coding guidelines and documentation standards</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Core Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Coding &amp; Charge Entry</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes</li>\n<li>Perform charge entry in Athena EMR through real-time and retrospective workflows</li>\n<li>Link diagnoses and procedures appropriately to support clean claim submission</li>\n<li>Apply Rural Health Clinic (RHC) encounter-based billing guidelines</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Documentation Review</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review medical records for completeness, specificity, and compliance</li>\n<li>Apply current Evaluation &amp; Management (E/M) coding guidelines, including medical decision-making and time-based coding</li>\n<li>Query providers for missing, incomplete, or unclear documentation as appropriate</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Athena EMR Utilization</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage coding workflows, charge posting, and work queues</li>\n<li>Resolve edits, denials, rejections, and claim holds</li>\n<li>Support provider documentation improvement efforts</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Compliance &amp; Quality</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain compliance with CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer regulations</li>\n<li>Participate in audits, coding validations, and quality review initiatives</li>\n<li>Identify opportunities for provider education and documentation improvement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Collaboration</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and revenue cycle teams</li>\n<li>Support outpatient Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) initiatives</li>\n<li>Maintain positive working relationships across departments</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Key Knowledge Areas</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluation &amp;
