    "description": "<p><span>CHAP are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of construction and maintenance projects from inception through to completion. This key role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will oversee project programming, labour and resource management, subcontractor coordination, and financial performance while maintaining exceptional Health &amp; Safety standards across all site activities.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span>Working closely with clients, site teams, and commercial departments, the Project Manager will drive operational excellence, ensure defect-free handovers, and implement comprehensive project completion plans that support continuous business improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader with strong organisational, technical, and communication skills to make a significant impact within a growing and ambitious organisation.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilties:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working at a senior level with the internal Construction Division management team and supporting departments.</li>\n<li>Overall project management of assigned project/s including programme progress, cost control, direct labour management and management of subcontractors.</li>\n<li>As a member of the Construction management team you will be required to participate in certain strategic discussions, planning and decisions within the CHAP Group.</li>\n<li>Your role is to set the standard for Quality and Health &amp; Safety and lead by example.</li>\n<li>Line management supervision, support and mentoring of direct reports including identifying training needs of your staff.</li>\n<li>Project programming - to take tender programme and develop into a construction programme by studying project specifications to determine appropriate construction methods; schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet/beat deadlines (carry out weekly drop lines to review Progress V Planned).</li>\n<li><span>Project design team liaison – conclude work package schedules / IRS (Information Requirement Schedules) chair DT (Design Team) meetings to ensure information is timeously</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications &amp; Competnecies:</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CSCS Card</li>\n<li>Driver’s licence</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>SMSTS</li>\n<li>CSCS Manager’s card</li>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree related to construction or engineering, or equivalent industry experience.</li>\n<li>Management qualification NVQ/SVQ level 5, or above, is desirable (holds or currently undertaking or willing to achieve in a timely manner).</li>\n<li>First Aid at Work, 3-day course or equivalent.</li>\n<li>Risk Assessment &amp; Method Statement qualification.</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, persuade, guide, manage and motivate others.</li>\n<li>Must have steel frame and cladding experience.</li>\n<li>In-depth previous experience within the construction industry.</li>\n<li>In-depth experience within a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Senior Site Manager or similar role within the construction sector.</li>\n<li>Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.</li>\n<li>Computer Literacy – including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.</li>\n<li>Having a desire and drive to meet deadlines through safe working practices and organisational skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>",
