    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<b>Job Summary</b><br><br>The Radiology Technologist I is responsible for obtaining radiographic images of diagnostic quality while while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role collaborates with healthcare providers to support efficient operations and optimal patient care.<br><br><b>Essential Functions</b><ul><li>Performs high-quality radiographic procedures independently, ensuring reproducible and diagnostic-quality images while adhering to positioning guidelines and departmental standards.</li>\n<li>Practices radiation safety principles in accordance with ALARA guidelines and participates in the Image Gently and Image Wisely programs to minimize exposure.</li>\n<li>Prepares patients for procedures, verifies orders, confirms patient identity using two identifiers, and explains procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates population-appropriate competencies for all relevant patient demographics.</li>\n<li>Cleans and maintains imaging equipment and modalities in compliance with infection control protocols, ensuring a safe and organized environment for patients and staff.</li>\n<li>Ensures the availability and proper organization of supplies and equipment needed for patient care.</li>\n<li>Inserts IV catheters for contrast injections when performing CT or MRI procedures, following departmental policies.</li>\n<li>Scans and verifies all associated documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation, ensuring proper documentation.</li>\n<li>Communicates effectively with peers, staff, physicians, leaders, and administration to support seamless patient care delivery.</li>\n<li>Identifies and mitigates artifacts in images, ensuring optimal image quality.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n<li>Maintains regular and reliable attendance.</li>\n<li>Complies with all policies and standards.</li></ul><b>Qualifications</b><ul><li>0-1 years of clinical experience as a radiologic technologist required </li></ul><b>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b><ul><li>Strong knowledge of radiologic imaging techniques, patient positioning, and radiation safety.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and troubleshooting technical issues.</li>\n<li>Excellent patient-care and communication skills to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures.</li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize imaging abnormalities and artifacts.</li>\n<li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and radiology information systems (RIS).</li>\n<li>Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in operating and maintaining radiology equipment.</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.</li>\n<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.</li>\n<li>Understanding of radiation safety and infection control protocols.</li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills to ensure accurate imaging and documentation.</li></ul><b>Licenses and Certifications</b><ul><li>ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification required  </li>\n<li>Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required  </li>\n<li>BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire required  </li></ul>\n",
