Participates in planning, coordination, development, implementation, and maintenance activities related to integrating applications and technologies within the organization’s application integration environment. </li>\n <li>Collaborates with clinicians and operational system end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic electronic medical records (EMR), patient accounting interfaces, and other associated clinical and financial systems. </li>\n <li>Analyzes and understand business problems; recommends solutions meeting organizational clinical and business systems maintenance goals. </li>\n <li>Designs and implements highly complex integration solutions using a variety of technologies in a supportable and scalable manner. </li>\n <li>Builds, tests, and implements data exchange interfaces. </li>\n <li>Provides a secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery system that improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patients’ experiences continually.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Reports To:</strong> IT [Information Technology]/Manager Application Svcs </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Supervises:</strong> None</p>\n<h2>WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Education: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in IT, IT management, software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems (IS), applied engineering, health information management (HIM), health informatics, nursing informatics, nursing, health science, education, business administration, health care, or a related field. </li>\n <li>Human Resources (HR) may accept directly related work experience on a 1-year:1-year basis for required education. [NOTE: Experience credited in lieu of formal education will not be credited toward the minimum experience requirement below (i.e., the same experience will not be counted twice).]</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Four (4) years of directly related professional experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Other Qualifications:</strong> </em>Communication skills (critical).  Problem solving skills (critical)</p>\n<em><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></em>\n<ul>\n <li><em>Expert knowledge of data exchange interfaces (e.g., building, testing, and implementing).  </em></li>\n <li><em>Knowledge of integration best practices.  </em></li>\n <li><em>Understanding of relational database management system (RDBMS) concepts.  </em></li>\n <li><em>Proficient with Epic Bridges integration configuration.  </em></li>\n <li><em>Proficient in programming languages, integration standards, and data structures. </em></li>\n <li><em> Proficient with Structured Query Language (SQL)-like language.  </em></li>\n <li><em>Proficient in at least one of the following: Python, C#, Visual Basic, or other object-oriented programming language.  </em></li>\n <li><em>Proficient with hospital workflows.  </em></li>\n <li><em>Proficient in web services and application programming interface (API) technologies.  </em></li>\n <li><em>Proficient with Health Level Seven (HL7) message structure.  </em></li>\n <li><em>Proficient with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) standards.  </em></li>\n <li><em>Ability to analyze/understand business problems and recommend solutions.</em></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Certification/License/Registry:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Related Epic certification(s) required. Multiple certifications may be required depending on functional area and job responsibilities. Required certification(s) must be obtained within ninety (90) days from last class completion. If a required certification is not obtained after three (3) examination attempts, the incumbent has a period of thirty (30) days after the last examination attempt to apply for other job opportunities within the organization. If unable to acquire another position within the organization, the incumbent’s employment with Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc.
