This role is essential to the success of the culinary and service teams, ensuring that all kitchen tools, equipment, and service ware are cleaned, sanitized, and ready to support a seamless guest experience.</p><p>At Maréla, every role contributes to the overall experience. The Steward plays a critical part in upholding our standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Operational Excellence</strong></p><ul><li>Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and kitchen equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, kitchen, and storage spaces&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, including proper sanitation procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, notifying leadership when inventory is low&nbsp;</li><li>Safely operate dishwashing equipment and ensure proper maintenance&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Kitchen Support</strong></p><ul><li>Assist culinary team with basic prep tasks as needed (e.g., peeling, washing produce)&nbsp;</li><li>Support the flow of service by ensuring timely turnaround of clean items&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries when required&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of floors, drains, trash areas, and back-of-house workspaces&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Team Collaboration</strong></p><ul><li>Work closely with culinary and service teams to support smooth operations during service&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate effectively with leadership regarding any equipment or operational issues&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate a team-first mentality and willingness to support where needed&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred, but not required&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment&nbsp;</li><li>Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and organization&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds&nbsp;</li><li>Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Prolonged standing and walking in a kitchen environment&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies&nbsp;</li><li>Exposure to heat, water, and cleaning chemicals&nbsp;</li><li>Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion</li></ul><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Our Commitment</strong></p><p>At Foley Hospitality Group, we are committed to creating an environment where our team members feel valued, supported, and inspired.
