    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>The Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager - Private Asset-Backed Finance (ABF) is responsible for developing, growing and managing a portfolio of Private ABF investments primarily for W&S insurance asset-liability management and surplus portfolios with the primary goals of income generation and capital preservation. The associate will partner with the public Securitized Fixed Income team with respect to both sector allocations and security selection.\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<b>What you will do:</b>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages and prioritizes a pipeline of private ABF opportunities through a developed and approved business strategy.</li>\n <li>Manages all transactional aspects of the end-to-end process of negotiating, structuring and closing asset-based finance transactions</li>\n <li>Presents and reinforces the rationale for the investment to the Investment Committee</li>\n <li>Leads and participates in pitching, evaluating, structuring, executing, managing and closing all aspects of ABF transactions.</li>\n <li>Provides ABF execution expertise/guidance to other members of the investment team.</li>\n <li>Drives issuer engagement and originates opportunities.</li>\n <li>Develops and maintains relationships with external counterparties and internal partners.</li>\n <li>Identifies, researches and analyzes potential new asset classes.</li>\n <li>Drives effective monitoring and reporting of the private asset backed ABF portfolio.</li>\n <li>Liaises with Legal, Accounting, Operations, Compliance and Risk departments on various transactions</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Complies with all policies and standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree Finance or quantitative related field - Required</li>\n <li>Master's Degree Finance or quantitative related field - Preferred</li>\n <li>Typically, 10+ years of experience in banking, investment banking, insurance, investment advisory and/or capital markets with specific experience structuring and executing private ABF transactions. - Required</li>\n <li>Proven experience in cashflow modeling and structuring across multiple ABF sectors. - Required</li>\n <li>Strong working experience with credit rating agencies and legal teams used in ABF financings and underwritings. - Required</li>\n <li>Experience across various ABF collateral types (commercial and consumer) - specifically structuring to achieve long-term capital efficiency for insurance clients. - Required</li>\n <li>Prior and successful experience generating collateral performance assumptions, evaluating credit risk and negotiating deal terms. - Required</li>\n <li>Strong public, 144a, 4a2, and loan deal execution performance history and credit underwriting skills. - Required</li>\n <li>Developed effective relationships and management skills within private asset backed sectors. - Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated excellent in-person presentation skills, both oral and written. - Required</li>\n <li>Proven team player with the ability to be a leader and manager for the sector and team on multiple transactions at any one time. - Required</li>\n <li>Superior and proven organizational skills in order to handle multiple complex transactions simultaneously. - Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to successfully interact effectively with senior executives inside and outside our organization. - Required</li>\n <li>CFA - Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Setting/Position Demands:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.</li>\n <li>Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.</li>\n <li>Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.</li>\n <li>Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.</li>\n <li>Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions</li>\n <li>Performs substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.</li>\n <li>Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.</li>\n <li>Associate must be able to travel via airplane</li>\n <li>Associate must be able to travel via car</li>\n <li>Routine and/or extended after hours work needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Travel Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5% travel</li>\n</ul>",
