This role is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment and brings a strong mix of mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge, including working with machinery, drives, and process equipment.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Takes daily instruction and supervision from department lead and supervisor.&nbsp;</li><li>Mechanically inclined with experience in assembling and repairing frames and fixtures, process equipment, and drives.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical controls and mechanical parts of machinery.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and assembly.&nbsp;</li><li>Read equipment prints and control diagrams to build machinery, enhance current processes, and troubleshoot problems.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to understand production processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain shop area and requisition the necessary parts.&nbsp;</li><li>Troubleshoot and maintain control panels.&nbsp;</li><li>Work safely with a wide variety of machines and hand tools (e.g. welders, torches, drills/drill press, grinders, volt meters, band saw, spray painting, forklifts, and high lift (JLG)&nbsp;</li><li>Light building maintenance; monitoring the building exterior and interior for maintenance needs and handling the repair.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor equipment for scheduled maintenance and repair.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on current machinery.&nbsp;</li><li>Installation support for new equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of pipe fitting, wiring, and maintenance plumbing.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain necessary maintenance logs, parts lists, and reference material.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate with department managers and machine operators to gain a working knowledge of various machines, and quickly resolve M&amp;R issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Work with maintenance system Limble.&nbsp;</li><li>Issue, assign and manage work orders.&nbsp;</li><li>Open and close tickets.&nbsp;</li><li>Follow PM’s and manage maintenance reports.&nbsp;</li><li>Add additional information on equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Train others and understand the equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Must embrace and model AFC’s Core Values?&nbsp;</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical and Visual Activities:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; Standing, walking, sitting, lifting,&nbsp;carrying, reaching, climbing, handling, typing, feeling, hearing, acute vision (far), acute vision (near), depth perception, field of vision, crouching, twisting. &nbsp;The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally team-lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.&nbsp; Comfortable using “Powered Man Lift” (Genie or JLG) to service elevated machine parts.&nbsp;</p>",
