This role is critical in ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of freight while maintaining high standards of customer service and regulatory compliance</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee daily trucking operations across terminals, dispatch, routing, and fleet management to ensure on-time delivery and service excellence</li><li>Lead, coach, and develop a team of terminal managers, dispatchers, and drivers. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and performance&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure payroll accuracy for assigned drivers</li><li>Champion a safety-first culture</li><li>Manage a fleet of trucks and trailers, ensuring optimal utilization, maintenance scheduling, and compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations</li><li>Own operational budgets, cost control, and performance metrics. Identify opportunities to improve margins through efficiency and innovation&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Expedite the billing process by managing user discrepancy queue</li><li>Leverage TMS (Transportation Management Systems), telematics, and analytics tools to drive visibility, automation, and decision-making</li><li>Partner with sales and customer service teams to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded</li><li>Serve as an extension of Sales to expand business revenue by exploring all opportunities with Customers</li><li>Participate in all service-oriented calls for accounts/customers</li><li>Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety standards.
