This hybrid role, based in Nashville, TN, is ideal for a seasoned engineer with deep expertise in <strong>RHEL</strong>, <strong>virtual machines</strong>, and <strong>containerized workloads</strong> in both traditional and cloud-native architectures.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Linux Engineering & Administration</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Architect, deploy, and maintain <strong>Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)</strong> systems across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.</li>\n <li>Lead OS lifecycle management, patching, hardening, and performance tuning.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain automation for provisioning, configuration, and compliance using tools such as <strong>Ansible</strong>, <strong>Terraform</strong>, or similar.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Virtualization & Infrastructure</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support and optimize Linux workloads running on <strong>VMware</strong>, <strong>Nutanix</strong>, or other enterprise hypervisors.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot complex issues involving compute, storage, networking, and OS layers.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure high availability and scalability.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Containers & Cloud Platforms</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications using <strong>OpenShift</strong>, <strong>Kubernetes</strong>, or Docker.</li>\n <li>Integrate Linux systems with cloud platforms such as <strong>AWS, Azure, or GCP</strong>.</li>\n <li>Implement cloud-native services, storage, and networking to support hybrid workloads.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Security, Monitoring & Operations</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Implement security best practices, SELinux policies, and compliance frameworks.</li>\n <li>Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting for Linux and container environments.</li>\n <li>Perform root-cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>7+ years of hands-on experience</strong> administering and engineering Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.</li>\n <li>Strong experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix, or similar).</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>containers and orchestration</strong> (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker).</li>\n <li>Experience supporting Linux workloads in <strong>cloud environments</strong> (AWS, Azure, or GCP).</li>\n <li>Proficiency with automation and scripting (Ansible, Bash, Python, etc.).</li>\n <li>Strong troubleshooting skills in large-scale, mission-critical environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, EX280/OpenShift).</li>\n <li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, GitOps).</li>\n <li>Experience with security hardening and compliance frameworks.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What do we offer</h2>\n<p><strong>In exchange for your expertise, HireRight offers an excellent employee benefit package which includes:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical</li>\n <li>Dental</li>\n <li>Vision</li>\n <li>Paid Life/AD&D Insurance</li>\n <li>Voluntary Life Insurance</li>\n <li>Short & Long Term Disability</li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts</li>\n <li>401K</li>\n <li>Generous Vacation and Sick Program</li>\n <li>10 Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Education Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Business Casual Attire</li>\n <li>Generous Referral Program</li>\n <li>Employee Discounts and Rewards</li>\n <li>And much more!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>*All resumes are held in confidence.
