Our team has a collective 50 years of climate finance experience and is at the forefront of Paris-era project finance. About the role: UpEnergy is at a time of exciting growth within Zambia and breaking new sales frontiers with demonstrable sales growth. As part of this growth, we are looking to ensure that we have a high-performing Sales team that is equal to the task of achieving the Business goals in the Zambian Market. The Sales Representative will play a critical role in operationalizing the sales strategy of UpEnergy Zambia in rolling out all products and driving the sales agenda in the assigned market. The right candidate will have proven sales results and the ability to meet and exceed sales targets, the candidate will also have a track record of successfully managing customer relationships as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities; Driving Sales of UpEnergy products in assigned markets. Conduct market activations and manage sales activities and initiatives in assigned markets. To execute trade development activities within the assigned territory. To coordinate and implement the recruitment, training, and performance of agents in specific markets and manage the performance of assigned sales agents. Managing the sales data capturing process and ensuring the highest levels of data accuracy and integrity. Main Activities Driving Sales of UpEnergy products in assigned market. Achieve all set sales targets in assigned market. Develop and adhere to an effective route to market daily and weekly coverage of assigned markets. Operationalize sales strategies to achieve assigned sales targets and deliverables. Consolidate and send accurate daily sales reports in adherence to data requirements. Be able to project and analyze sales trends and provide such feedback to supervisor. Trade Development. Identify and utilize new opportunities in the trade to enhance product reach and acceptability. Manage trade relations with various stakeholders and players. Coordinate sales activities in the market and take advantage of selling opportunities.  Create and maintain a database of trade partners for sales activities.   Agent Management Recruit and coach Sales agents with proper market coverage in assigned market. Monitor performance of Sales agents and cascade all critical Sales information to Agents. Periodically train sales agents on data integrity and effective sales techniques Data Capturing/Management Ensure accurate capturing of sales data on assigned data capturing platforms as provided. Timely delivery of receipts from the area of operation to Data Team for system capturing. Zero tolerance to data manipulation and fraudulent data entry Does this sound like you? Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or related field Minimum two (2) years previous experience in Sales, customer support, Client services or related field Demonstrated and proven sales results Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
