    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist  to  join our TekSynap Defense team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with DoDI 8500.2 or NIST SP 800-53 security controls.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles and processes.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.</p></li>\n <li><p>Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving security challenges.</p></li>\n <li><p>Hands-on experience with the implementation and configuration of networks and network components.</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with security tools and systems such as eMASS, VMS, and DIACAP.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proven experience completing a full RMF submission from initiation through approval.</p></li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certifications</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Must have one of the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>DoD 8570 IAM Level III Baseline Certification:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) </li>\n   <li>Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) </li>\n   <li>GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) </li>\n   <li>Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) </li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Must have one of the following:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>DoD 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification: \n  <ul>\n   <li>COMPTIA Security+ CE</li>\n   <li>Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)</li>\n   <li>COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)</li>\n   <li>Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Global Industriel Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)</li>\n   <li>Global Information Assurance Certification (GAIC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)</li>\n   <li>Certified Network Defender (CND)</li>\n   <li>Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Clearance</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Secret </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Conduct IT audits on complex systems, applications, and enclaves to verify compliance with Federal, DoD, and DLA security standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Assess security requirements and perform control validation for classified and unclassified networks, applications, and information systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support cybersecurity operations by executing procedures to safeguard systems from unauthorized access, misuse, or destruction.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide technical expertise in vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, network defense, and the application of cybersecurity controls.</p></li>\n <li><p>Assist in evaluating customer systems and recommend enhancements to strengthen security posture.</p></li>\n <li><p>Analyze mitigation strategies to determine their effectiveness in meeting established security requirements.</p></li>\n <li><p>Balance organizational business objectives with security needs to ensure compliant, practical, and resilient protection measures.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT </strong></p>\n<p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. The listed salary represents one component of the total compensation package for employees. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE </strong></p>\n<p>U.S. Citizen </p>\n<p>Secret – IT-II (Tier 3) Non-Critical Sensitive Clearance with a favorable NACLC.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS </strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
