You will influence architectural decisions, guide development standards, and mentor engineering teams delivering high-impact solutions.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Lead technical design and architecture efforts for complex, enterprise-grade software systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct design and code reviews to ensure alignment with performance, security, scalability, and maintainability standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Translate business and technical requirements into secure, resilient, and scalable solutions.</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop and enhance applications using Angular (front-end) and Java Spring Boot (middle-tier APIs).</p></li>\n <li><p>Build and maintain RESTful APIs, services, controllers, and repositories within the Spring Boot framework.</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaborate with technical customers, project managers, QA engineers, and fellow developers to ensure seamless integration and delivery.</p></li>\n <li><p>Identify and implement opportunities to optimize performance, improve user experience, and reduce technical debt.</p></li>\n <li><p>Mentor junior developers and promote engineering excellence across the team.</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.</p></li>\n <li>Provide leadership, delegation, and oversight to ensure collaborative and high-quality delivery.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why This Opportunity Stands Apart</h2>\n<p>This role places you at the center of aviation modernization efforts at one of the FAA’s most important technical hubs. Your work will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Strengthen the safety of the U.S. aviation system.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support nationally significant modernization initiatives.</p></li>\n <li><p>Place you at the forefront of mission-driven federal engineering.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>U.S. Citizenship Required.</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of software development experience or Associate’s degree and 14 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience.</li>\n <li>Proven experience in software development including front-end Angular web development and iddle-tier Java Spring Boot API development.</li>\n <li>Experience with Spring Boot framework, including RESTful APIs, controllers, services, and repositories.</li>\n <li>Experience with Angular, including components, services, pipes, and routing.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems.</li>\n <li>Experience with FAA systems, federal modernization efforts, or mission-critical software developement environments.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of TypeScript and its benefits for large-scale applications.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) for front-end development.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mocha, and Jasmine.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.</li>\n <li>Understanding of DevOps principles and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#BNATC</p>\n<h2>Peraton Overview</h2>\n<p>Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
