Assists with trans-esophageal echocardiograms. In training for exercise stress and pharmacological stress echocardiograms and pediatric (congenital) echocardiograms.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Performs all basic adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures. Edits tracings, makes measurements and enters data into computer. Distinguishes between normal and abnormal cardiac findings.</li>\n<li>Performs cardiac sonographer duties to meet departmental needs including recognizing arrhythmias and implications of specific cardiac and related diagnoses to obtain optimal studies. Operates complex equipment accordingly.</li>\n<li>Performs adult echoes on-call. Participates in pediatric on-call echoes with the assistance of a pediatric back-up sonographer.</li>\n<li>Participates in exercise stress pharmacologic stress echo training.</li>\n<li>Participates in weekly imaging conference presentation.</li>\n<li>Facilitates patient flow within the section and maintains a pro-active approach in dealing with patient concerns.</li>\n<li>Participates in Quality Assurance and quality control programs.</li>\n<li>Ensures that equipment failures are reported and documented.</li>\n<li>Performs other duties as required or assigned.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates Degree from accredited cardiac ultrasound program or RDCS/RCS-eligible background with 1 year of cardiac echo experience.</li>\n <li>Proficient on all equipment in the lab within the first 3 months of employment.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Licensure/Certifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>RDMS certification Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Adult Echocardiography (RDCS - AE) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.</li>\n <li>Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.</li>\n <li>BLS certification required upon hire.</li>\n</ul>",
