    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>AREA: KENTUCKY/EVANSVILLE, IN</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><div><strong>Essential Functions:</strong><br>Responsible for making regular planned visits to our member stores serving in a liaison capacity between the store and the warehouse.<br>Responsible for interpreting meat department operating statements and conduct operational analysis of the department to advise managers on how to improve their operations.<br>Performs necessary analysis and planning to assure that the meat merchandising objectives and priorities for assigned member are met.<br>Developing weekly ad item and price selections.<br>Conduct training for department managers and personnel.<br>Responsible for maximizing meat retail sales and warehouse purchases for assigned stores.<br>&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Important Functions:</strong><br>Assist in the development of meat case configurations, both fixtures and product layout<br>Assist in developing sales programs such as; seasonal meat merchandising, value added, creating handbills and developing continuity programs.<br>Works with others so that total job responsibilities are met in a satisfactory manner. Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with our members, superiors and co-workers.<br>Responsible for securing knowledge with regard to competitor's meat merchandising strategies, being able to analyze the impact and developing countering measures as required.<br>Accomplishes those activities necessary to keep management informed on all planning, work performed, and results achieved. All records required by management are to be complete, accurate, up-to-date and submitted on time.<br>Responsible for having all assigned stores participate in all warehouse programs.<br>Promote special selling events: truckload sales, 12 hr sales, 3 day events.<br>Performs other responsibilities as requested.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br>Any combination of education, training and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:<br>&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Knowledge:</strong><br>Understanding of retail/wholesale meat operations and merchandising; Standard English usage.<br><br><br><strong>Abilities:</strong><br>Be able to operate scales, wrappers, and hand jacks.&nbsp; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.&nbsp; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.&nbsp; Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization and to senior company management.&nbsp; Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.&nbsp; Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.&nbsp; Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.<br><br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Experience, Education and Training:</strong><br>High school diploma; management experience in retail/wholesale meat operations.<br><br><br><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong><br>Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.&nbsp; Frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.&nbsp; Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.&nbsp; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.&nbsp; Must be able to drive car to stores.<br><br><br><strong>Working Environment:</strong><br>Indoors, with adequate cooling, heating, and adequate lighting.
