Summer Program Coach (Summer School Support 2026) Reports To: Director FLSA Classification: Non-exempt, classified Full Time/Part Time Status: Part Time Regular/Temporary: Temporary Salary: Hourly Framework (Step3) Range: $26.68 - $32.52/ per hour. Salary is commensurate with experience and education level. Application Opening Date: 6/22/26 Application Closing Date: 06/30/26 JOB SUMMARY The Academic Coach is responsible for ensuring that students with diverse needs have access to our general education curriculum.  Academic Coaches are essential to maintaining our low student-teacher ratio and ensuring all students get the individualized attention required for success. Duties include: Services typically include supporting students in summer school classes and providing specialized academic instruction. This is a short-term position for summer programming only. The number of positions needed will depend on the final enrollment. The ideal candidate would possess the following competencies: ●      Inform and communicate effectively with students, families and staff ●      Ability to demonstrate content knowledge, including California Common Core Standards ●      Exhibits knowledge of student cognitive development and various learning styles ●      Organization skills ●      Presentation and large group discussion skills ●      Ability to provide strong emotional support to students and families ●      Ability to manage diversity ●      Speak and write succinctly using plan language Building relationships ●      Communication, both written and oral ●      Ability to evaluate alternatives ●      Interpersonal skills ●      Ability to listen and motivate ●      Teamwork ●      Create plans and goal set SALARY Hourly Framework; Summer Program Coach with a pay range of $26.68 - $32.52/hour; Effective July 1st there will be a 6.7% increase to the framework.
