We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Bernstein lab is recruiting a <strong>Lab Aide</strong> to perform routine laboratory tasks in order to help support a lab under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Primary responsibility will be tissue culture maintenance, and molecular cloning, and cellular imaging. To be successful in this position, the lab aide must be detailed oriented, organized, capable of maintaining thorough records, and be able to work efficiently under supervision. Attendance of lab meetings and involvement in a research project will be encouraged.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent with an interest in the sciences. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current enrollment in college at the sophomore or higher level.</li>\n <li>Prior introductory biology and chemistry coursework.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.30 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.</p>\n<p>Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees access to a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program, paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked), and prorated paid holidays (up to 11 days per year).</p>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) Employer.
