What you’ll do:
Operating in a diverse and highly competitive retail environment, the Agro/Energy Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and profitability. This position is responsible for working collaboratively others to grow business, and identify new business opportunities.
The Ag/Energy Sales Representative will perform their responsibilities in alignment with Westview Co-op’s Core Values and Brand. Key responsibilities include:
Understanding and following Westview Co-op’s Health and Safety Program while promoting a culture of safety.
Providing world-class service to Members and Guests and upholding our brand promise through our “You’re at Home Here” motto.
Collaborating closely with team members to achieve sales goals and ensure Guests receive expert advice across various commodity lines.
Maintaining strong product knowledge and an understanding of financial results.
Identifying new opportunities to drive sales and grow market share.
Travelling throughout Westview Co-op’s trading area.
Completing other duties and special projects as assigned.
Who you are :
Grade 12 or Equivalent with a preference for post-secondary education (Business Diploma or Degree). Previous (5-10 years) progressive and successful sales experience. Commitment to ongoing development in the industry and relevant designations/knowledge (agronomy, chemical, seed, crop production, fuel & lubricants). CCA, Pag or equivalent experience. Knowledge of fuel and lubricants is required.
We are looking for a positive, approachable and motivated individual with a drive to learn. Candidates will demonstrate the following:
Understanding of our Values (Integrity, Excellence, Responsibility, Community)
World Class Guest service skills
Strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skills
Quality communication skills
Ability to work effectively with others
Willingness to complete a Criminal Record Background Check
A Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract are required for travel throughout our trading area.
This is a Full-time position, and the successful candidate must be available to work days, evenings and weekends.
