Description Job Description: The Administrative Intern will assist with records management and retention, while providing support to the West Division administration team and operations department. Essential functions include: Preparing records for storage and/or destruction. serving as the receptionist (as needed) and operating switchboard duties and phones. Assisting the department with filing, organization, and other clerical duties. Internship Duration: Monday, June 1, 2026 – Friday, August 14, 2026 Hours Per Week: Up to 37.5 Hours Per Week Rate of Pay: $18/hr Location: West Division, 3500 W. Lake St Melrose Park, IL 60160 Working Conditions: This position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. However, the business needs of Pace may result in work schedules outside the typical hours/workdays. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote telecommuting. Qualifications Age: Must be 18 years of age or older. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university and working towards a degree in General Education, Business, Communications, Psychology, or other related field with an interest in public transportation. Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid driver's license. Proficiencies: Must demonstrate working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Clerical work experience is preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods of time, frequently stand and/or walk within an office environment, lift and carry up to 25lbs, use a keyboard and type for prolonged periods.
