    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>The Sheet Metal Fabricator plans, layouts, fabricates, assembles, installs and repairs sheet metal parts for a variety of aircraft and components.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Possesses a high level of attention to detail and workmanship to fabricate and assemble components while holding key critical dimensional tolerances</li>\n <li>Proficient in set-up and operation of fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials</li>\n <li>Understands how to lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material applying knowledge of shop mathematics and layout techniques to develop and trace patterns of product/parts </li>\n <li>Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smooths surfaces, using hand tools and portable power tools</li>\n <li>Reviews, reads and understands military technical manuals, technical orders, modification work orders, blue prints, sketches and product specifications to determine sequence, method of fabrication, assembly and installation. </li>\n <li>Complies with safety rules and procedures and uses protective equipment as required; remains alert for unsafe conditions</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>    <strong>    Education:   </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p>        <strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>0-2 years required; shall have knowledge of simplistic tasks associated with the fabrication and assembly of electronic and mechanical hardware assemblies</li>\n <li>3 years’ experience preferred; five years preferred in planning, layout and building to blueprints, or product specifications</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly techniques</li>\n</ul>",
