    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/22.7.18/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"></div><p data-pasted=\"true\">OSV News is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Associate Editor with a strong understanding of the Catholic Church to assist the OSV News team in development new projects and supporting current ones.&nbsp;</p><p>The OSV News Associate Editor will write, review, and edit content for OSV News according to OSV&rsquo;s publication style and editorial guidelines.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Essential Job Functions (*=Non-essential tasks):</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Manage and help grow Simply Catholic Connect content platform through editing, content development, and content sharing</li><li>Manage relationships with freelance writers for various OSV News projects, written and digital&nbsp;</li><li>Create and edit OSV News content, as needed</li><li>Pitch creative and dynamic stories to raise OSV News&rsquo;s profile and engage audiences</li><li>Identify emerging trends, topics, and opportunities in the Catholic Church to inform content strategy</li><li>Assist Spanish Editor in editing/posting content to Spanish website</li><li>Participate in a team-centric, fully remote environment that adheres to the Catholic Media Association&rsquo;s Fair Publishing Practices Code</li><li>Accomplish all other tasks or duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Experience:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Catholic communications</li><li>Experience in writing and editing for a national publication preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Education:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent Liberal Arts field preferred; however, a combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Abilities:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Fluent in Spanish</li><li>Exemplary writing and editing skills</li><li>Ability to meet quick deadlines without sacrificing quality</li><li>Strong knowledge of AP style</li><li>Ability to work well with a team</li><li>Ability to be accountable in a remote work environment&nbsp;</li><li>A passion for accuracy and truth-telling</li><li>Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage projects simultaneously</li><li>Strong understanding of Catholic Church teachings and practices&nbsp;</li><li>Abilities in planning and coordinating people and operations</li><li>Willingness and interest in working as part of a creative, collaborative team</li></ul><p><strong>Working Environment:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Incumbent will be working in a remote office environment&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to sit for the majority of one&rsquo;s shift</li><li>May be required to travel a few times a year</li></ul><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>None</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><p>OSV recognizes that its employees work in many different states and therefore may be affected by different laws.
