Other benefits include employer pension matching, shift differential, incentive/premium pay, free annual biometric screening and paid volunteer time off.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>RiverView is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Medical Lab Technician</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>Crookston Lab</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong>.8 fte / 64 hours every 2 weeks- working every third weekend and holiday rotation</p>\n<p><strong>Pay Range:</strong> $22.18 - 31.06/hr (based on experience)</p>\n<p><strong>Job Status:</strong> Non-Exempt/Hourly, Benefitted position</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing</li>\n <li>Follows standard operating procedures for MLS/MLTs</li>\n <li>Ensures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met</li>\n <li>Recognizes safety hazards and complies with all safety practices and protocols</li>\n <li>Collects and processes lab specimens with proper equipment</li>\n <li>Performs clinical laboratory testing, including manual and automated methods</li>\n <li>Collect and manage samples of blood and other fluids from patients</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimums:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or be registry eligible. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable.</li>\n <li>Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 6 months of employment.</li>\n <li>Required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.  If not currently certified, RiverView will offer training which must be completed within 6 months of employment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred(s):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>2+ years’ healthcare experience in any field</li>\n <li>1+ years of clinical laboratory experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaboration and teamwork, supporting team goals and contributes positively.</li>\n <li>Commitment to quality improvement, safety standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., CLIA, COLA, CAP).</li>\n <li>Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work independently.</li>\n <li>Manages workload efficiently to meet productivity and quality targets.</li>\n</ul>",
