    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<table>\n <tbody>\n  <tr>\n   <td>SUMMARY</td>\n  </tr>\n </tbody>\n</table>\n<p>The Junior RCC Operating Technologist is an entry-level role within the Remote Command Centre (RCC), designed to introduce individuals to Smart Building and Building Automation Systems (BAS) operations in a structured and supervised environment. This position focuses on alarm monitoring, service request triage, work order management, and documentation, while building foundational knowledge of BAS platforms, HVAC &nbsp;concepts, and RCC workflows.</p>\n<p>The role is intended as a developmental steppingstone into the RCC Operating Technologist I position.</p>\n<table>\n <tbody>\n  <tr>\n   <td>KEY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</td>\n  </tr>\n </tbody>\n</table>\n<p><strong>On-going Operations</strong></p>\n<p>Monitor BAS and connected building platforms for incoming alarms and system notifications in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).</p>\n<p>Acknowledge, log, and triage alarms, identifying priority level and required response based on predefined response methodology.</p>\n<p>Create, update, and close work orders within the work order management system, ensuring accurate notes and proper documentation.</p>\n<p>Dispatch service requests and alarms to appropriate RCC resources, site teams, or vendors as directed.</p>\n<p>Monitor system dashboards, device connectivity, and basic performance indicators, escalating abnormalities as required.</p>\n<p>Maintain accurate logs and records of actions taken, observations, and escalations.</p>\n<p><strong>Learning &amp; Development (Supervised)</strong></p>\n<p>Participate in structured onboarding and RCC training programs covering BAS fundamentals, RCC workflows, and escalation procedures.</p>\n<p>Shadow Associate and RCC Operating Technologists during alarm investigations, trend reviews, and remote operations activities for learning purposes.</p>\n<p>Develop a foundational understanding of HVAC systems, building comfort concepts, and asset hierarchies.</p>\n<p>Attend internal training sessions, SOP reviews, and vendor-led platform demonstrations, as assigned.</p>\n<p><strong>Documentation &amp; Compliance</strong></p>\n<p>Follow established RCC processes, procedures, and quality standards at all times.</p>\n<p>Ensure all work completed is accurately documented within RCC tracking tools and systems.</p>\n<p>Identify recurring alarms or issues and escalate to senior RCC staff for further investigation.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<div style=\"border:1pt solid; padding:1pt 4pt\">\n <p>KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS</p>\n</div>\n<p>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</p>\n<p>Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with technical systems and dashboards.</p>\n<p>Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow documented procedures.</p>\n<p>Clear written and verbal communication skills.</p>\n<p>Willingness to learn BAS, HVAC concepts, and RCC operations.</p>\n<p>Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, as required.</p>\n<p>Microsoft 365 Proficiency (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc)</p>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<p>Post-secondary education or coursework related to building systems, HVAC, controls, or technology.</p>\n<p>Previous experience in a call centre, Network Operations Centre (NOC), Security Operations Centre (SOC), or helpdesk environment.</p>\n<p>Exposure to facilities operations, automation systems, or technical support roles.</p>\n<p><strong>Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>None required.</li>\n</ul>",
