In collaboration with senior staff, the role is responsible for the discovery and characterization of bacterial strain candidates for further development into new biotic solutions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The role requires expertise in microbial and human physiology to develop scientifically relevant <em>in vitro </em>experimental assays, as well as analytical assays and bioinformatic analyses to identify bacterial strains with acceptable safety profiles and promising health‑ and beauty‑promoting properties for the Care &amp; Wellness product portfolio.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Your primary responsibilities will include: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for assay development and screening campaigns.</li>\n<li>Responsible for laboratory technologies e.g. Omics readers and liquid handling.</li>\n<li>Safety evaluation of procedures related to relevant guidelines and regulations for <em>in vitro</em></li>\n<li>Drive the discovery, testing and selection of bacterial strain candidates for further development into commercial biotic solutions.</li>\n<li>Optimization and development of analytical assays for probiotics with specific emphasis on high-throughput potency assays and ID methods.</li>\n<li>Scout for new technologies and expand the technical capabilities of the labs.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation of data and scientific assessments to the team and stakeholders.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education, experience and mindset</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>MSc in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Microbial Biotechnology or equivalent with at least 2 years relevant professional experience.</li>\n<li>Fundamental understanding and documented scientific expertise in bacterial physiology and gene-to-function analysis.</li>\n<li>Significant hands-on experience with development of microbial analytical methods and demonstrated expertise in assay optimization.</li>\n<li>Experience with utilization, visualization and interpretation of high throughput data analysis.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong communicator and presenter of scientific data to peers and cross-functional stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Experience from the probiotic or prebiotic industry is an advantage.</li>\n<li>Innovative and curious mindset, who thrive at generating hypotheses and designing experiments to test these.</li>\n<li>Excellent spoken and written English is required, spoken and written Swedish would be preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Ready to Make a Difference?</span></p>\n<p>Join Probi and embark on a journey where your skills, passion, and drive will fuel our growth and innovation in the biotics industry.
